At Speaking of Women’s Health, we know that large life changes, like the
latest diets and a major exercise overhaul, don’t ultimately add up to
results –
you can’t change long-term habits overnight! The key is small
changes
– adding a new fruit or vegetable to your diet here, trying a new
lipstick shade there – and
ultimately, those small changes can, and
will, make a big difference!
Dee L. - Age 53 - Clayton, NC
My simple pledge is to help folks with tobacco addiction.  I just finished an
awesome certification by American Lung Association that was offered to me as an
educational piece by my employer WakeMed.  My pledge is to volunteer in my
community my time and my knowledge to help anyone, or any organization for
that matter, that wishes to tap my knowledge in this effort.
Charlotte C. - Age 64 - Raleigh, NC
My simple pledge is to increase my exercise time from 30 minutes to 40 minutes.
Dinah M. - Age 52 - Raleigh, NC
My simple pledge is to be the best I can be spiritually, physically and
mentally....to stay healthy and strong for myself and others I encounter.
Claudia H. - Age 50 - Apex, NC
I'm so excited about my new look on life.  The programs that were available for us,
helped me so very.  I am diabetic and I take insulin and po meds.  Being at your
meeting for us has opened my eyes to a whole new world.  My best friend Margie
was also with me and with her encouragement and the new things I learned about
diet and exercise I hope to be a healthier person next year.
Nelda B. - Age 58 - Raleigh, NC
My simple pledge is to share more with my husband in order to create quality time
together as I have discovered that it greatly reduces stress.  He also appreciates
the moments as well.  I would like to also participate in more community based
initiatives that bring assistance to women and children.  I am an active participant
in the JDRF fund-raising event, and the March of Dimes and the American Heart
Walk.

possible.
